HDMI Connection (Recommended): Use an HDMI cable to connect your Wally to your TV for the best picture and sound quality.
RCA Connection: If HDMI is unavailable, use red, white, and yellow RCA cables to connect the Wally to your TV.
Power On: Plug the Wally into a power source and turn on your TV. Ensure the correct input source is selected.
Activate Your Receiver: Follow the on-screen prompts to activate your Dish service if required.
Press GUIDE on your remote to access the program guide.
Use the Arrow Buttons to browse channels and programs.
Press INFO for details about a selected program.
Use CH ▲/▼ to quickly switch between channels.
If your remote is not working properly or needs to be paired with a new Wally receiver, follow these steps:
To Unpair the Remote:
Hold the SAT button (located on the left side of the remote) until the SAT, TV, and AUX buttons light up.
Release the SAT button, then press and hold the HOME and GUIDE buttons for 5 seconds.
The remote should beep 3 times, indicating it has been unpaired.
To Reset and Re-Pair the Remote:
Press and hold the SAT button until all 3 lights illuminate at the top of the remote.
Simultaneously press and hold the HOME and GUIDE buttons for 6 seconds.
Release the buttons—you should hear 3 tones indicating the remote has been reset.
Follow the on-screen pairing instructions to connect the remote to your Wally receiver.
Pairing Your Remote to a TV After Initial Setup:
Press the HOME button twice.
Navigate to the Settings icon and select it.
In Settings, go to Remote.
Under Devices, select TV.
Choose TV Pairing Wizard.
Select the brand of your TV.
The receiver will try a series of codes. Test each code by adjusting the volume up and down.
If the code does not work, press Try Next Code until you find one that works.
Once the volume control works, select Finished to complete the pairing process.
To restrict certain content:
Press MENU > Select Settings > Choose Parental Controls.
Set a 4-digit passcode to block channels, ratings, or purchases.
Hide locked channels from the guide if desired.
Please note: If you forget the parental control password or do not know it, please reach out to MVM Support so they can work with Dish to remove the parental control password.
Ensure the TV is on the correct input (HDMI or RCA).
Check that the satellite dish is unobstructed and properly connected.
Reset the receiver by unplugging it for 10 seconds, then plugging it back in.
Replace the batteries if the remote is unresponsive.
Ensure the remote is in SAT mode (press SAT button).
If the remote is lost, press Locate Remote on the front of the Wally.
If channels are missing, press GUIDE > OPTIONS > All Subscribed.
If the guide is outdated, reset the receiver and allow it to update.
Make sure the TV volume is not muted or too low.
If using an external sound system, ensure it's properly connected and set to the right input.
